My artistic objective is to transcend nature by adjusting scale, color, composition, and the orientation of an image, to instill a sense of spirituality, and provide a unique visual experience. From a distance I strive for an image that is defined and realistic. Closer to the surface the image should evolve to become more abstract and painterly. My art has been influenced by many painters the most significant of those being Gauguin, Monet, and Rauschenberg. I received my Masters Degree in Art from California State University, Sacramento, California.
